The Ivy Heritage Foundation

"Service in the heart of Hampton Roads, Since 2006"

Who We Are

Founded in June 2006 in Norfolk, Virginia, the Ivy Heritage Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization with members living across Hampton Roads who are committed to serving those in our local neighborhoods and throughout the region. The Ivy Heritage Foundation's (IHF) mission is to serve the community by enriching and improving the lives of people living in the region through focused programs in education, entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, the family, and health management.

The IHF was created by members of the Upsilon Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the oldest Greek letter organization established for African American women. Its history spans from 1908 to the present with over 250,000 college-trained women worldwide.

What We Do

IHF will focus on the same platforms areas as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Its members understand that when the "Heart & Hand" work together, compassion and needed services are delivered to the people in our community who need them most.

IHF service to the community will be an extension of what Upsilon Omicron Omega chapter has done in the past by successfully partnering with community organizations.
